Important ces+ and CIELO Announcement

September 10th, 2018

Dear Valued Employees and Partners,

Today marks a very important day.

As I reflect on my time as CEO of both ces+ and CIELO, I’m very proud of what we have achieved. As CEO of ces+ for the past year and a half, we have grown our sales 89% year over year and expanded our service offerings to include content programming as a managed service, third party logistics for our manufacturer partners, and the industry first Cinema-as-a-Service offering. As the Founder of CIELO, I have always strived to develop CIELO from an idea, to a product, to a platform, and into a global market leading company and I’m proud to say that we have achieved that. In three short years, we’ve attained 6.5% global market share with CIELO installed in over 11,000 screens worldwide. The future is very bright for both companies and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth of both ces+ and CIELO.

In order for both companies to continue their growth trajectories and maintain their leadership positions in the market, I’ve come to the realization that each company requires respective full-time CEOs. While we have achieved a lot with my time being split between the two companies, it became apparent that continuing doing so is limiting each company from realizing their full potential. I’m excited to announce that with the full support of the shareholders of both ces+ and CIELO, I’ve decided to accept the position of full-time CEO of CIELO. I look forward to working closely with our outstanding CIELO team and our growing network of integrator partners worldwide to fully develop the true potential of CIELO.

With the extraordinary growth ces+ has seen the past year and the opportunities that lie ahead, the shareholders and I have taken measures to ensure the continuity of leadership and sustained growth of the company. I will be transitioning from the CEO role at ces+ into a Director role on the Board of Directors for ces+, while Guillermo (Bill) Younger Sr, the Co-Founder and previous CEO of ces+, has been reinstated as the Interim CEO of ces+. Additionally, the Board of Directors for ces+ is in the process of identifying and appointing the next CEO of ces+, an objective I look forward to personally contributing towards to assure ces+ builds on everything we have accomplished to date. I’m certain that under the direction of a full-time CEO, ces+ will be taken to new heights above and beyond what I was able to as a part-time CEO.

This is a bittersweet moment for me. I grew up in ces+, cleaning 35mm lenses during summer vacations as a kid, and I’m extremely proud of how the company has evolved and established itself as a leading solutions provider in the industry. I would like to thank every single one of you: our employees, vendor partners, exhibitor partners, and shareholders for believing in me, our vision, and working so hard to achieve everything we have achieved this past year. To have ces+ and CIELO reach the point where both would require full-time CEOs is an incredible milestone. This could not have been possible without all of you, so from the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU!

I’m honored and humbled to have been given the opportunities with ces+ and to build CIELO to where it is today and I can’t wait to see where ces+ and CIELO go tomorrow. I’d like to share with you all one of my favorite quotes by Alan Kay, which I feel captures this moment for me very well: “The best way to predict the future is to invent it”. While I may not know what the future holds, I do know both ces+ and CIELO are now better situated to achieve their respective futures. This is a future I feel great about.

Regards,

Guillermo Younger Jr
